Found primarily in the northern regions of Rioja and Ribera del Duero, Spain, Tempranillo is similar in taste to Sangiovese or Cabernet. Medium to full-bodied with strong flavors of red cherries and a super smooth finish. American Tempranillos have chunky tannins and lush cherry and tomato sauce flavors.
